If you have a 1st generation companion scooter, this throttle potentiometer with mounting bracket for the Golden Companion I & II (GC221, GC321, & GC421) may be what you need to get your scooter running smoothly. Also known as a throttle pot, this potentiometer mounts on your scooter’s dashboard console. Faulty throttle potentiometers can lead to “jerky” motion while throttling, or no motion at all.

Note that this unit is only for the older versions of these scooters. The newer versions of the Companion scooter (GC240, GC340, and GC440) use the Throttle Potentiometer Assembly for the Golden Technologies Companion I & II (GC240, GC340, and GC440).
